Until you have loved an animal, part of your soul will have remained dormant. --Anatole France
Welcome!
As a licensed psychotherapist and long-time animal lover, I consider the loss of a beloved creature to be a significant emotional and, sometimes, traumatic event. The intensity and impact of the loss on the pet's guardian can be quite shocking and disturbing and should be taken as seriously as the loss of any family member. So, in addition to seeing patients for a variety of issues (see www.drlindseybeavenmft.com), I offer support and counseling for those bereaving the loss of a pet.
Please contact me if you would like an initial, complimentary, no-obligation, informational 20-minute chat about the loss or impending loss of your dear pet or companion animal. |
When you bring a pet into your life, you begin a journey. A journey that will bring you more love and devotion than you have ever known, yet will also test your strength and courage. If you allow, the journey will teach you many things, about life, about yourself, and most of all, about love. You will come away changed forever, for one soul cannot touch another without leaving its mark.
